Sheet metal bending on the bending center (Panel bender)

Sheet metal bending on the bending center (Panel bender)

Certainly, the bending center can be called a technological breakthrough in the sheet metal processing industry. Traditional bending presses cannot fully meet the new needs, because they are characterized by long installation time, technical limitations on the production of complex profile parts, the presence of the human factor, which reduces repeatability and increases the defect ratio.

Using a semi-automatic bending press, it is possible to produce parts for a wide variety of industries and applications – from filigree profiles to large pallets. Without the use of a special tool, it is possible to produce different radii, minimal flanging, with the help of the FreeBend function to obtain sophisticated unique bends, which are impossible to duplicate on a classic bending press.

The semi-automatic bending machine significantly minimizes the human factor due to the automatic tool change. Also during bending parts do not need to be lifted, it is enough to turn on the frame, which is equipped with rollers and brushes. The machine itself fixes the part and delivers it to the bending place. All these factors increase repeatability, productivity and quality.

We use servo-electric Prima Power FastBend FBe5-3 panel bender in our production.

Main advantages:

  • high accuracy and repeatability of product manufacturing;
  • high speed and performance;
  • production of various radii without the use of special tools;
  • manufacture of unique bends and shapes that are impossible to duplicate on the classical bending machine.

Our capabilities:

  • Permissible thickness of metal for bending:
    — structural steel (black steel) 0.5-3.2 mm,
    — alloy steel (stainless steel) 0.5-2.2 mm,
    — aluminum 0,5-4 mm;
  • Maximum height of the bending shelf – 200 mm,
  • Maximum bending length – 2750 m.

To order it is necessary:

Send a request to email metalworking@tiso.ua with required information:

3D model of the part in SLDPRT (SolidWorks) or IGES, STEP format. The drawings in PDF format covering the dimensions of bends and dimensions of parts are required; Also drawings in PDF format are required, if the product contain: countersink, bulge, molding, rib stiffeners;

— material, thickness of material and number of products.
